Wireless deal prompts critics to join together

Two associations join private industry in opposing sale of unused wireless spectrum to Verizon Two associations representing rural telecommunications companies are among the members of a new group opposing the proposed purchase of unused wireless spectrum by Verizon Wireless. Verizon is offering $3.6 billion to the nation’s largest cable companies for spectrum they currently own but don’t use.
